Chairman Bourque called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m.
Town meeting warrant articles
Chairman Bourque asked Board members if they wished to discuss any of the articles and recommendations before Town Meeting. He noted that the Board had made recommendations on all articles previously. Selectmen MacKendrick and Merritt indicated they had nothing further to discuss about those recommendations.
Administrative matters
On the motion of Selectman MacKendrick, seconded by Selectman Merritt, the Board unanimously approved the use of the Common for the Friends of the Lynnfield Library annual Summer Concert Series for the following dates: July 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27 and 28.
On the motion of Selectman MacKendrick, seconded by Selectman Merritt, the Board unanimously approved the minutes of the meeting of April 25, 2011.
Board members briefly discussed the need to vote on notifying the town clerk of a special election to consider a Proposition 2-1/2 override should town meeting vote a budget that is out of balance. On the motion of Selectman MacKendrick, seconded by Selectman Merritt, at 6:39 p.m. the Board unanimously voted to recess the meeting until the adjournment of the annual town meeting.
As town meeting did not conclude its work on the budget that night, the Board adjourned after town meeting recessed at 11:04 p.m.
