Chairman Crawford called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. He noted that the meeting was being recorded for cable television transmission.

 

Ratification of contract with Lynnfield Firefighters, Local #2472, International Association of Firefighters, July 1, 2019-June 30, 2022

Mr. Dolan explained that the Town has reached an agreement with the Lynnfield Firefighters bargaining unit on a new contract. The contract provides for a 1.5 percent adjustment to the pay rate at each step and grade in each of the three years the contract covers.

 

In addition, the contract addresses a number of other issues such as uniform allowance, adjustments to the longevity schedule, and the rates of pay for certain ambulance and weekend shifts.

 

Chairman Crawford thanked Town Administrator Dolan and the firefighters’ bargaining unit for their work on this contract. Selectman Barrett thanked the firefighters for their work on the pandemic.

 

MOTION by Selectman Barrett, duly seconded by Selectman Dalton: I move that the Board vote to ratify the agreement with the Lynnfield Firefighters, Local #2472, International Association of Firefighters, July 1, 2019-June 30, 2022, as presented. Vote was unanimous.

 

Appointment of Kirk Mansfield as full member of the Lynnfield Historical Commission

When Steven Todisco agreed to rejoin the Historical Commission, Kirk Mansfield indicated that he was willing to go back to being an associate member. With the tragic passing of Steven Richard, Mr. Mansfield has agreed to once again be a full member.

 

MOTION by Selectman Barrett, duly seconded by Selectman Dalton: I move that the Board vote to appoint Kirk Mansfield as a full member of the Historical Commission with a term to expire on June 30, 2021. Vote was unanimous.

 

Update from Town Administrator on operations during state of emergency

Town Administrator Rob Dolan gave a brief overview of the measures undertaken in Lynnfield as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic

 

MOTION by Selectman Barrett, duly seconded by Selectman Dalton: I move that the Board vote to adjourn. Vote was unanimous.
