Please make sure catch basins are clear

Lynnfield DPW continues to plow and treat roads but we ask for your assistance. Due to the heavy slush and rain, large puddles have developed on some streets due to blocked catch basins. A significant drop in temperature today will turn slush into ice quickly.
If you have a catch basin in front of or near your home..
1. Please do not block catch basins when shoveling, plowing or snow blowing ... this will cause ice pools and safety concerns.
2. If you are able, please help our community by clearing the catch basin near your home. It is greatly appreciated by DPW and first responders.
3. DPW will have crews out salting / clearing drains as temperatures drop.
