On March 22, Conservation Commissioners Don Gentile and Bill Thompson, and Director of Planning & Conservation Emilie Cademartori attended a legislative breakfast focused on the Ipswich River Watershed. Legislators, municipal leaders and other local officials were invited to hear of the issues and opportunities surrounding this lifeblood resource that directly affects 21 cities and towns on the North Shore.

The event – Working together to increase the resiliency of the Ipswich River and our communities in the Watershed – was designed to strengthen relationships with elected officials, to educate and increase awareness of important issues facing the Ipswich River, and to show legislators how the Ipswich River Watershed Association is actively providing stewardship for this critical resource.

“This was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the Ipswich River Watershed and the legislative initiatives being pursued to deal with water supply and climate challenges generally”, says Conservation Commissioner and Vice Chairman Don Gentile.
