The ConCom has named a Pillings Pond Task Force for 2019. The sub-group was formed as a targeted way for the Commission to address several challenges and opportunities for the Pond and its many stakeholders.

Challenges for 2019 include measures to improve water quality, ways to restore a healthy shoreline, and infrastructure changes identified in the 2018 “Woods Roads” drainage study. Opportunities include the pursuit of grant funding from state agencies, and the development and publication of educational materials for abutters and recreational users of Pillings Pond. Named to the 2019 Pillings Pond Task Force are commissioners Paul Martindale and Don Gentile, and Pond abutter and community representative Kirk Mansfield.
