In January, the Board of Selectmen formed a new Recycling Advisory Committee. This new group will consist of five citizens appointed by the Selectmen to staggered three-year terms. The duties of the Committee include:

  • Make recommendations to the Selectmen on recycling practices and policies.
  • Work with the DPW and other Town departments to improve and encourage recycling efforts by the Town of Lynnfield.
  • Work with the DPW and Town departments and committees in seeking and managing grants and other forms of assistance to further recycling goals.
  • Undertake such projects and activities pertaining to recycling and related issues that the Selectmen may allow, authorize, or direct.

The Selectmen are seeking participation from citizens to serve on this new committee. Those interested should contact Bob Curtin in the Town Administrator’s office at (781) 334-9412 or at rcurtin@town.lynnfield.ma.us
