Virtual Memorial Day observance planned due to COVID-19 pandemic

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic there will be no Memorial Day parade or live event, but Lynnfield residents are invited to view Lynnfield's virtual Memorial Day observance, which will be aired every half-hour starting on Sunday at 9:00 a.m. and will run every hour on the hour on Verizon channels 28, 29 and 30 and Comcast channels 8, 9 and 99 on the half-hour through the holiday. It will be posted to the Town's vimeo channel at https://vimeo.com/user36270762.

The program will feature many of the traditional elements of the Town's Memorial Day observance, including remarks from the Director of Veterans Services and the Chairman of the Board of Selectmen, the reading of the Honor Roll, the recitation of Lincoln's Gettysburg Address and "IN Flanders Fields" by local students and more.
