Public Feedback Form: Opiate Settlement Funds

The Town of Lynnfield is soliciting public feedback on use of opiate settlement funds per restricted guidelines. Your responses will remain anonymous and be aggregated into a brief summary to inform a proposal at fall town meeting. Funds are only allowed for the following purposes:

opioid use disorder treatment access
support for people in treatment or recovery
connections to care
harm reduction
meeting the needs of justice involved individuals
support for pregnant and parenting individuals and their children
prevention

Please check all of the following strategies you would support for Lynnfield and its residents.

Narcan stations/kits at select public locations

AED station/kits at select public locations

Sharps disposal box for safe disposal, including insulin, EpiPens and other medical sharps

Program to assist public safety in assisting individuals in accessing treatment instead of incarceration

More early drug prevention education for families and youth (e.g. Healthy Lynnfield programs; healthy alternatives for youth)

Town Social worker available to triage residents in need to a variety of community services

Support groups for families/adults raising youth with a substance use disorder

Support groups for youth exposed to substance use in the home/family

Formalized restorative program for youth caught in violation of school chemical health policy (focused drug education in lieu of suspension)

Transporation vouchers for individuals needing transporation to court, treatment, or community support appointments

Substance Use Recovery Coach

Training on Administration of Narcan for residents

Mental Health First Aid Training (skills training to recognize signs of and response to a person in mental health or substance use crisis)
