First 2024 Volunteer Community Clean-up

Volunteers meet to clean up trash at Beaver Dam Brook Reservation
Troop 48 Boy Scout clean-up BDBR

March 24 marked the first community volunteer clean-up event in town. Participants from scout troops, the Open Space & Recreation Working Group, Recreation Commission and Friends of the Rail Trail gathered to bag trash from the Beaver Dam Reservation property and cut back encroaching vegetation along the trail paths.

The Open Space & Recreation Working Group is wanting to schedule future community-wide clean-up events at the Conservation Commission's properties. These events enhance the community walk experiences that are routinely coordinated by the Working Group's Steve Fantone.
