As part of the vision plan - Lynnfield 2040: Shaping our Future Today, Metropolitan Area Planning Council’s Sarah Scott and Lynnfield Planning Board member Page Wilkins (pictured) presented the vision plan to 4 of LHS’s 10th grade Social Studies classes.

As part of the vision plan, a town-side survey was available to all residents and stakeholders. The presentation to the 10th grade classes gathered input from a key youth demographic. It also coincided with the 10th grade Civic Action Project curriculum, which has been mandated by the State since 2018. The 10th graders will go on to select a project that represents a community need in Lynnfield, and present the project results during their Spring semester.

(Metropolitan Area Planning Council and the Lynnfield Planning Board coordinated these student sessions with Social Sciences Department Head Susan Breen, and History/Social Sciences teachers Jennifer Goguen and David Forster.)
