Planning Board adopts Lynnfield 2040 Vision Plan

In its April 24, 2024 Planning Board meeting, members unanimously adopted the final Lynnfield visioning plan report– “Lynnfield 2040: Shaping Our Future Today”. The report caps a near 14-month effort to develop a vision for the future of Lynnfield that reflects the aspirations, goals, and values of its residents.

The vision plan is a much welcome update to the previous 2002 Master Plan. It allows for collective reflection, exploration and imagination about what Lynnfield could become in 20 years. Through a comprehensive community-wide survey it asks What is working? What isn’t working? What could be improved? And, what should be preserved.

This full April 2024 report is included here, as well as the full report of the July 2023 Community-Wide Survey Results. It is available in print form on file in the Lynnfield Planning & Conservation office at Town Hall and the Lynnfield Public Library.

As leader of this visioning project, the Planning Board is grateful for the participation of Lynnfield residents and the continual support of the Select Board and technical assistance from the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC).
