Conservation Commission
Mission Statement
The Conservation Commission is an seven member volunteer board appointed by the Board of Selectmen and charged with the protection of Lynnfield's natural resources. The primary role of the Commission is the administration and enforcement of the Wetlands Protection Act (MGL c.131,&40) and Lynnfield's Environmental Bylaw. The Commission also engages in open space planning, management of Pillings Pond and other conservation-owned land,conducting educational seminars, such as pesticide awareness, landscaping & water conservation seminars, and other community projects promoting the value and protection of Lynnfield's natural resources.
