Chair Crawford called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m. He announced that the meeting was being recorded for cable television and led those in attendance in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Vote to approve the issuance and details of the Town’s bond anticipation note to be dated June 2, 2022 and sign related closing documents

Assistant Town Administrator Robert Curtin explained that before the Board tonight is a $1.75 million General Obligation Bond Anticipation Note. This note will be for one year, payable on June 2, 2023, for the Summer Street and Huckleberry Hill elementary schools’ additional construction and renovation, related to site work, drainage work, ventilation work, as approved at the 2021 town meeting. It addresses work on parking lots, sidewalks, drainage improvements, and upgrades to ventilation systems and security systems.

There were four bidders on the offering, with Oppenheimer & Co. as the low bidder with a net interest cost of 2.4485 percent. The second-lowest bidder was at 2.468 percent.

MOTION by Mr. Dalton, duly seconded by Mr. Connell:  I move that the Board vote to adopt the votes relating to the Town’s bond anticipation note to be dated June 2, 2022 as presented in writing to the meeting and to incorporate such votes into the minutes of the meeting. Vote was unanimous.

MOTION by Mr. Dalton, duly seconded by Mr. Connell: I move that the meeting be adjourned. Vote was unanimous.
