Chair Crawford called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

 

Acceptance of development restriction, Sagamore property, Main Street

 

The development restriction on the portion of the Sagamore property on the west side of Main Street that would bar development for a 25-year period has been delivered by the Sagamore Spring Real Estate Trust has been delivered and reviewed by town counsel. This is one of the obligations of the Trust under the previous agreement ratified by the Board. Town Counsel will hold the restriction in escrow until the requirements stated therein, which include the approval of the two related warrant articles being voted on tonight, are met.

 

MOTION by Mr. Connell, duly seconded by Mr. Dalton: I move that the Board vote to accept and execute the development restriction. Vote was unanimous. The Board executed the document.

 

Review of recommendations on town meeting warrant articles, if necessary

 

The Board of Health has raised some last-minute technical questions about Article 11. Therefore Town Administrator Robert Dolan recommend that Article 11 be indefinitely postponed. We will bring the matter back in the spring.

 

MOTION by Mr. Connell, duly seconded by Mr. Dalton: I move that the Board recommend indefinite postponement of Article 11. Vote was unanimous.

 

Town Accountant Julianne McCarthy has amended the list of tranfsers for Fiscal Year 2023 for Article 2. The new list, reflected in the handout, is based on the latest budgetary information.

 

MOTION by Mr. Connell, duly seconded by Mr. Dalton: I move that the Board vote to recommend Article 2 with the transfers as reflected in the town meeting handout. Vote was unanimous.

 

MOTION by Mr. Connell, duly seconded by Mr. Dalton: I I move that the Board remain in session through the completion of town meeting. Vote was unanimous.

 

This portion of the meeting was concluded at 6:02 p.m. and the Board took no further action during town meeting.
