About

The Lynnfield 2040 Vision Plan is an aspirational, community planning resource shaped by residents, business owners, and other stakeholders in concert with town officials to envision the future of Lynnfield. The process was spearheaded by the Lynnfield Planning Board and supported with grant funding for consulting assistance from the Metropolitan Area Planning Council. A variety of online and in-person engagement activities were completed with Lynnfield residents, including a town-wide survey, to collect themes, ideas, and interests for the future look, feel, and operation of the Town over the next few decades. The final vision plan covers a range of topics, including transportation, public infrastructure, economic development, health and safety, and housing. Opportunities and challenges, along with priorities and emerging ideas, are all included in the plan and can be used to inform future planning efforts in Town.

The Vision Plan's themes and guiding values offer a resource to Town boards, commissions, and administrative staff as they embark on future decision-making around municipal investments and programming. In addition, the Plan serves as a user-friendly resource that community members and Town officials (staff, volunteers, and elected officials) can refer to as needed.
