Massachusetts Vulnerability Preparedness Program (MVP)

The Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness grant program (MVP) provides support for Massachusetts cities and towns to plan for climate change resiliency and implement priority projects. The state awards communities with funding to complete vulnerability assessments and develop action-oriented resiliency plans. Communities who complete the MVP program become certified as MVP communities and are eligible for MVP action grant funding and other opportunities.

Over the past year, the Town of Lynnfield has been working with its MVP Certified Provider, Comprehensive Environmental Inc (CEI), to develop a plan for Lynnfield. On February 5, CEI facilitated a workshop with Town officials and key community stakeholders to identify and prioritize steps for community resilience planning and hazard mitigation efforts.

Town officials now request help from Lynnfield residents. Lynnfield’s final MVP draft plan is below. CEI has developed the MVP Listening Session (audio recording) and MVP Listening Session (pdf static slides version) for a comprehensive understanding of Lynnfield’s MVP plan. At the end of the Listening Sessions residents are strongly encouraged to complete the brief online survey.

Thank you for your help and support.
