Under its guidance, Lynnfield Boy Scout Troop 48 followed the DPW’s boardwalk clearing effort with a clean-up day in early April. Troop 48 has had a long history of volunteering in and around Reedy Meadow and Partridge Island.

Reedy Meadow, designated by the U.S. Park Service as a National Natural Landmark, is one of only 11 such landmarks in the State. Each year the Meadow attracts thousands of hikers, bird watchers, school groups and others who enjoy the peaceful surroundings and its native plant and animal species.
