ConCom Hosts 1st Water Use Workshop!

Emilie Cademartori, Director of Planning & Conservation, hosted the ConCom's first Water Use Workshop May 15, which included presentations from the Ipswich River Watershed Association (IRWA), the Lynnfield Center Water District (LCWD) and the Lynnfield Water District (LWD).

Kristen Grubbs, Environmental Planner with IRWA provided an overview of the watershed system and a look to its future. Also presented were elements of the IRWA's popular Greenscapes healthy lawn program. Rob Almy, Chairman of the LCWD Board of Commissioners, provided an overview of the local water supply environment, the upcoming watering season and updates to seasonal rates and the LCWD's new superintendent search. James Finegan, Superintendent of the LWD provided a brief update of its water sources with a look to the summer watering season. The session concluded with Q&A.
