January 29 Meeting House presentation – Urban and Community Forestry with Mass Audubon Guest Speaker

Learn about caring for your trees from Certified Arborist Erica Holm
Urban Forestry presentation with Erica Holm

On Monday, January 29 at the Meeting House from 7 – 8:30 PM, the public is invited to join the Lynnfield Tree Committee for a talk and discussion with Erica Holm, Mass Audubon’s first Urban Ecologist. Learn about connecting and caring for your trees from this special guest speaker.

This FREE program includes refreshments provided by members of the Tree Committee.

Urban and community forestry is a broad and complex field, and urban trees are more than meets the eye, despite each of us knowing and living with our local trees every day. Erica, a certified arborist, will bring her knowledge and unique perspective of our urban and community forests. As someone engaged in the conservation, environmental and sustainability issues of the day, she welcomes the opportunity to share her knowledge. Erica is “passionate about natural resources and promoting a sustainable future for all people, plants, and wildlife… There is a future natural resources debt that we are creating... Urban ecology and urban forestry offer an opportunity to address some of those things and to empower people to feel like they’ve really made a difference, and to help them pass good things on.”
