Pond to be treated to control growth of nuisance aquatic vegetation

Pillings Pond will be chemically treated on Monday, Wednesday, May 29, 2019. These waters are routinely treated from time to time to control the growth of nuisance aquatic vegetation.

Please note that swimming is never an allowed use at Pillings Pond.

Do not use the water for the following purpose(s) until the dates noted below:

Drinking and cooking:  6/1/2019

Boating, and fishing:  5/30/2019

Watering of livestock:  5/30/2019

Irrigation:  August: 6/3/2019

This chemical treatment is being conducted pursuant to a permit issued by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (Mass DEP) and an Order of Conditions issued by the Lynnfield Conservation Commission. DEP File #209-0380.
