Partridge Island boardwalk repairs completed

Under the direction of the DPW, Giard General Construction has completed the boardwalk repairs at Partridge Island/Reedy Meadow. The repairs were made just in time for the Tree Committee's Photo Walk, marking the kick-off of the Committee's photo contest - Lynnfield Through the Lens.  

Work on the boardwalk repairs had been delayed with the unusally wet summer weather. High water levels in Reedy Meadow necessitated the addition of nearly 26 feet of on/off boardwalk ramps to ensure safe access to the two islands. 

On Saturday, August 28 (rain date Sunday, August 29) local photographer Greg Pronevitz will conduct a Nature-themed photo walk through Partridge Island. Greg will highlight how to effectively capture our relationship to trees and Nature by taking cues from the photo contest categories. This is appropriate for photographers of all ages; under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. This is open to Lynnfield residents only. You can register here.
